Look Wonder Discover is supported by the Woods House Collective, each of these websites represent the “brain children” of LWD founders (who also founded the Woods House Collective), each website features past and on-going projects.

The Books For Walls Project (BFWP), began in 2010 and supports literacy, libraries, and book love. The sisters, Nadia and Sonja, along with their mom, Amy, began BFWP with reading challenges to engage people in the world of books and stories. As the years went by, BFWP helped save the Troy Public Library, featured the library on Antarctica, and interviewed numerous authors and creators. In 2019, BFWP inspired Nadia and Sonja to found Look Wonder Discover.

Sunny and The Elk began in 2014 when Sonja discovered an extinct elk skeleton. The journey led her to run a successful Kickstarter to fund her scientific research: DNA testing, carbon dating, meeting with the Smithsonian. The journey is not over as Sonja continues her research, her goal is to engage others in the world of science.

CognEYEzant began in 2018 as Nadia began her 365 day art project: every day for a year, she created an artistic representation of an eye. The project features studies of art and portraits of subjects ranging from authors, to people she met on the street, to imagery crafted by her imagination. Much of the art is accompanied by essays about art, science, philosophy, literature, curiosity, and more. With the first part of CognEYEzant completed, Nadia is working toward the next step which involves outreach and a lot more art.
